A vehicle collided into the East Street train bridge near the Endicott station in Dedham on Monday, May 15, causing long waits for some commuters, according to a Tweet sent by the MBTA Twitter account at 10:48 a.m.

All train service on the Franklin line was halted while engineers inspected the damage to the bridge, according to the Dedham police department.

Train traffic resumed on one of the bridge's tracks by 11:30 a.m. but commuters still experienced delays up to an hour an 15 minutes while the other track was repaired.

Dedham police detoured all traffic heading towards the Endicott Estate away from the bridge, to Cedar Street.
